This design is an interpretation of a set of 18th-century prints in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation collection. Robert Furber, an English nurseryman, published Twelve Months of Fruits in 1732. He selected 364 varieties of fruits and grouped them according to the month his patrons could expect them to ripen in a garden or greenhouse. Mats are slightly wider than others to easily accommodate silverware. They are cork backed and laminated for heavy-duty use and easy care.
